Breakfast in China varies with location. In the south you can get dianxin, like you can get in Hong Kong and most North American large Chinatowns. In Northern China, most locals have youtiao (fried bread, long), mantou (steamed bread, round), yougao (fried, round, flat, sweet), and baozi (meat or veggie). Boiled eggs are pretty common throughout China, but not really breakfast food. Zhou (rice porridge) is more popular in the south, not the north. The meal is usually light. Chinese cook with only a little oil, so for breakfast they often eat youtiao to make up for this every so often.
lunch and supper:rice and dishes in Southerners . noodles in north
weather
China is a vast country with different climates, but generally speaking, spring is from April to June, summer from June to September, fall from September to October, while winter is from October to March, and usually it is colder and drier in the north in winter, and hotter and more humid in the south in summer.
May, September and October are the best months for you to travel to China when the weather is the most pleasant all over China.
Mabye you will ask "what's the weather like in summer in china?"
oky,It depends.
I used to live in southern china, therefore I am more familiar with the summer weather there.
Of course it is hot, even the wind is hot. Also, it is changeful. You can see the sun shinning above your head at one moment, and then it rains heavily the next moment.
As for the summer weather in northern china, I think it is drier.
China Tours
China’s diversity in landscape, culture and history is amazing so choosing China's Best is a difficult task. We've combined our knowledge with our customers' feedback to select what we consider to be China's top 10 tours.
They include the must see destinations: Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Guilin, the Yangtze River, Hong Kong, Suzhou, Hangzhou(where I'm living), Chengdu and Lhasa, and some surprises.
1.The Great Wall
Chinese people are always proud of their Great wall. To some extent, it represents the spirit of Chinese people and history. In many exhibitions or conferences in China, participants can easily find its existence in pictures or painting hung on walls. It has been widely expressed in politics, culture-exchange, and artistic creation. It is the symbol of China.
2.Weat Lake
Impression West Lake is one of Chinese top live-action performances strongly featured by the local culture and unique charm of Hangzhou West Lake. It is nationwide famous for its dreamlike show and fantastic elegance. Actually, the visitors in Hangzhou are unexceptionally eager to watch this life-size performance, because it is one mingled and charming show of Hangzhou culture and history. Impression West Lake is one of the representatives created by Zhang Yimou who is Chinese most famous movie director and the general director of the opening ceremony of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue. Impression West Lake is the third performance (the first and the second live-action performance made by them are Impression Liu Sanjie and Impression Lijiang River) shown initially in 2007.
3.The Bund
The Bund(Wai Tan, 外滩) is located in downtown Shanghai along Huangpu River. The Bund is an influential attraction in Shanghai and one of most famous destinations worth traveling for in Shanghai.
Shanghai became one of the five treaty ports opened to the outside world after 1840. In 1845 British colonialists occupied the Bund and established the British Concession. In 1849, the French colonialists also seized the Bund of Shanghai and established a French Concession. Since 1940s, the Bund was jointly occupied by Britain and France.
4.The Palace Museum in beijing
What strikes one first in a bird's -eye view of Beijing proper is a vast tract of golden roofs flashing brilliantly in the sun with purple walls occasionally emerging amid them and a stretch of luxuriant tree leaves flanking on each side. That is the former Imperial Palace, popularly known as the Forbidden City, from which twenty-four emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties ruled China for some 500 years--from1420 to 1911. The Ming Emperor Yong Le, who usurped the throne from his nephew and made Beijing the capital, ordered its construction, on which approximately 10,000 artists and a million workmen toiled for 14 years from 1406 to 1420. At present, the Palace is an elaborate museum that presents the largest and most complete ensemble of traditional architecture complex and more than 900,000 pieces of court treasures in all dynasties in China.
